Celebrating 35 Years of the 437th Operations Support Squadron!
On March 7, 2026, the 437th Operations Support Squadron will host the March of the Penguins Heritage Event at Joint Base Charleston. This celebration marks 35 years of heritage, mission excellence, and the legacy of the Penguin Family. The event brings together current members, veterans, families, and supporters of the 437 OSS to honor our history and the people who shaped it.
The March of the Penguins event highlights the evolution of the squadron since its establishment and recognizes the teams and individuals who made airlift operations possible across decades of change. From airfield management and intelligence to weather, tactics, training, and survival experts, every corner of the OSS has played a role in making air mobility happen.
This year’s celebration includes a special milestone. During the event, the squadron will announce and recognize the nominees for the inaugural 437th OSS Penguin Hall of Fame. These nominees represent officers, enlisted Airmen, civilians, and honorary teammates who left a lasting legacy on the squadron. Their induction marks the beginning of a new tradition honoring excellence, leadership, and the enduring Penguin ethos.
